The first person to introduce wagashi to Taiwan and create a trend
After working as an art designer for seven years, Emily Wu went to Japan at the age of 33 and studied Wagashi-making at the Ecole de Patisserie de Tokyo in Japan. During her schooling, she participated in professional-level competitions in 2005, winning the Japan Wagashi Promotion Association's prestigious "Special Jury Award". After returning to Taiwan, she opened "Toukaya Sweet", which became popular as an online store. Currently developing her own wagashi school in Taiwan, she spares no effort in promoting the culture of wagashi, and continues to bring this artistically beautiful dessert into everyone's lives, so that wagashi may enrich everyone's soul.
Listen to teacher Emily Wu Huijing detail the secrets of starting a business, the warm and precious encounters behind her abundant creativity, and how she started late but gave her all on this dream-pursuing trip.
