Dreamy and beautiful bliss of this year

The wagashi symbolizing mutual love

During the Girls' Festival, cherry blossoms are placed next to the princess. Legend has it that when cherry blossom petals fall, if one grabs five petals in one hand, one is very lucky! Ms. Emily tried many times, but no matter how she grabbed them, there were only two petals in her palm. This gave rise to a creative inspiration of two hearts in love. Two cherry blossom petals overlap each other, a wagashi which symbolizes love. It is Ms. Emily’s original creation that combines imagery and realism, rather than the real name of a variety of cherry blossom. The graceful curves and gradients perfectly show the beauty of spring, like an edible sculpture. Many people are reluctant to eat it because it is too beautiful.

Things to note:

  • In order to preserve freshness and prevent collision, Toukaya wagashi is stored in -24°C freezer after production, and is shipped by Black Cat Frozen Home Delivery.
  • Thaw at room temperature for about 40 minutes before eating.
  • Jonamagashi is prone to drying and cracking if exposed to the air for too long. Therefore, it is recommended to keep them in the original transparent packaging box during the thawing process.
  • Jonamagashi can be moved to a plate in the frozen state, and then covered with the original transparent lid. Just remove the lid before eating.
