【Original】Red-crowned crane たんちょうづる Tanntyouduru
Symbolic meaning: good luck, loyalty, longevity
A crane's pure voice greets the morning moon,
A speck of crimson heart hangs between its brows.
Spreading wings to soar across the sky, its graceful posture commands boundless envy.
As ancient sayings go:
Its body values purity, hence the plumage is white;
Its voice reaches the heavens, hence the crown is red.
Hiding its immortal tracks deep within the mountain woods, whoever catches a glimpse is filled with joy.
Emily Sensei says:
This is a red-crowned crane resting with its neck bent. The beak and tail overlap, and the blue tail shows vivid wings.
Red-crowned cranes, also known as cranes, are monogamous. Unless widowed, red-crowned cranes will only settle with one partner in their lives. When adult red-crowned cranes are looking for a partner, they will first dance in pairs. If their frequencies match, they will naturally become a pair! In order to protect them from being on the verge of extinction, Hokkaido has specially established the "Red-crowned Crane Nature Park" to conserve and rehabilitate red-crowned cranes, so you don't have to wait until they migrate, you can enjoy the majestic cranes up close in this park at any time.
