Mizumanju Crystal buns, originally from China, have a crystal-clear texture and are the perfect snack for summer when chilled. This type of wagashi made from arrowroot powder is also known as "kudzu manju" and "narcissus manju". It is difficult to distinguish them in terms of definition, so the oval-shaped ones are collectively called water manju.
