Teacher Sharing|Kang Chiachen

▍Teacher Introduction

Toukaya Teacher Course Cohort 6, currently working in the transportation industry, is an office worker who interacts with the public daily.

▍What kind of opportunity did you get to know Toukaya?

I have a great love for Japanese culture and had an art background during my school years. I am fascinated by beautiful things and art. I happened to see Toukaya online and was surprised to find that there was a wagashi craft company in Taiwan.

▍What made you want to sign up for the course?

My previous shift work made me feel quite powerless. When I saw this course, which gave me the opportunity to teach others what I love, I decided to sign up and become a teacher.

▍Can you please share with us your journey from student to teacher?

After a year of learning various techniques and diligently absorbing knowledge in class, progressing from becoming a teaching assistant to co-teaching, and finally becoming a teacher, one must have a comprehensive understanding of the meaning of each work in order to truly stand in the position of a teacher and guide students step by step into the world of creation

▍Is there anything you can share with everyone who has not taken the course?

We hope that anyone interested will open their hearts to the lessons. At Toukaya, you can learn authentic techniques without having to fly all the way to Japan! We warmly welcome everyone to bravely take the first step!
