▍What kind of opportunity did you get to know Toukaya?

Intrigued by the subject of wagashi, I began searching for related courses and discovered the pioneers of this path, Toukaya.

▍What made you want to sign up for the course?

After searching through various related courses in the hope of learning from the basics, I discovered that Toukaya had a fairly solid curriculum, so I joined their learning group.

▍Can you please share with us your journey from student to teacher?

The learning process, which lasted for more than a year, started from a vague understanding of wagashi. With the teachers' careful guidance and detailed instruction, I gradually began to recognize the different kinds of wagashi, and only then did I realize how profound and worthy of in-depth study and progress this culture is.

▍What are your expectations for the future (for the field of wagashi)?

In addition to reviewing and improving what I've learned so far, I also hope to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of wagashi. I aim to make deeper connections with Japanese culture.

▍Is there anything you can share with everyone who has not taken the course?

You don't need to be very good to start learning; you only become very good once you start.
