▍Teacher Introduction

Toukaya Teacher Course Cohort 2, "Pingo Enjoy" Brand founder

▍What kind of opportunity did you get to know Toukaya?

I am a food and beverage catering major and wanted to develop my interest and one more skill.

▍What made you want to sign up for the course?

I attended a wagashi experience class at the Beitou Cultural Heritage Museum and after meeting Toukaya, I wanted to know more about Japanese culture and wagashi techniques.

▍Can you please share with us your journey from student to teacher?

From beginning the experience course to actually becoming a student, I have made more and more progress in wagashi-making, and my understanding of wagashi has become better. I have also served as a teaching assistant to assist the teachers many times. Now I have become more and more familiar with the infield work of Toukaya, and I understand even more about the Four seasons and festivals, integrating wagashi into my daily life.

▍Impressions after becoming a Toukaya Teacher

On behalf of Toukaya, we promote the history and technology of wagashi so that more people can understand wagashi.

▍Is there anything you can share with everyone who has not taken the course?

Wagashi is very suitable for beginners. It is simple and easy to get started. It gives you an additional skill and allows you to understand the culture, knowledge and skills of Wagashi.
